Our Process

Here are the steps in painting a home for Twin City Painting:

1. Washing. We hand wash the entire home with bleach and water to kill mildew spores to prevent mildew from bleeding through the new paint. We pressure rinse to ensure a clean surface for the finish coat.

2. Minor Maintenance: We remove caulking and replace where needed. We remove and replace shutters as well as downspouts and storm windows.

3. Preparation: We scrape all loose and peeling paint to ensure a firm base for the finish coat. We also do a light sand to glossy surfaces to ensure a firm bond.

4. Priming: We use up to 5 different types of primer depending on what surfaces we are priming. We have specific primers for: Bare Wood, Galvanized Metal, LP Siding, Masonry, Rust, and Stains of any sort.

5. Finish Coat: We only hand paint the exterior of a home. This was the way that homes were meant to be painted! You're car needs to be spray painted, not your home!

6. Clean-Up: We clean up every day and upon job completion. No mess will be left at your home!
